  • Andrew Litke's research focuses on the intersection of text, language, and meaning in the Bible and Near Eastern Literature. He gives special attention to the Bible's Near Eastern context and its reception among Christians and Jews, particularly those in Aramaic-speaking communities. 
    In addition to several scholarly articles, including in leading journals such as Aramaic Studies, Hebrew Studies, and Journal for the Study of the Pseudepigrapha, he has published a monograph with Brill (Targum Song of Songs and Late Jewish Literary Aramaic: Language, Lexicon, Text, and Translation, 2019), co-edited a Festschrift with Gorgias Press (Mallephana Rabba: Aramaic Studies in Honor of Edward M. Cook, 2023), and published a general audience book with Cascade Books (Psalms in Sickness and in Health, 2025).
